Lutron's new dimming solution puts control in the palm of your hand. The wireless controller is small enough to clip on your car visor, or fit in your pocket or purse. Simply replace existing wall switches in any or all rooms of your home with the new Maestro wireless dimmers and you are ready to dim.
How does Maestro Wireless work?
Maestro Wireless uses radio frequency (RF) technology. RF signals travel through walls and floors with a typical range of 30 feet between dimmers, The car visor unit will operate up to 100 ft from the driveway to the front door. (see the bottom of this page for FAQ's)
Each "Pico" controller can operate a single dimmer or can be programmed to control upto 10 dimmers.
With multiple dimmers you'll need multiple master controllers. You can mount a wireless controller on a wall wherever you need an additional switch, without extra wiring.....just add a claro screwless plate for a finished look. Keep

Q9: Can I install Maestro Wireless components in more than one room?
Yes, Maestro wireless could be set up to control great rooms, kitchen, family room, master bedroom suites or from the car into the home. However, because this is a one-way RF system, there is no feedback status or visual recognition to the user that indicates in one room which lights are on in another. This naturally limits the logical applications to ones where a user can only see the lights he is controlling. Multiple single-room sub systems can be installed in the same house but all will act independently as separate mini systems.
